Twitter Occupying Time in Real World

I had a great time the other evening meeting many Regina and area Tweeters who took a few hours of their time to get off their computers and into the “real world” where they had to “talk” to people using “voice boxes”.

There were more than 50 people who came, including Roughriders, and non-professional sports players too. There were socialites, realtors, lawyers, salesmen, bloggers, journalists, students, mothers, communicators, and photographers. That’s an incomplete list too, as there were babies there, and children younger than one. The young children hadn’t acquired Twitter handles, for the most part.

As you can see, a great time was had by all. This photo was posed, but you thought it was legit, right?

Some #YQRTweetup people have a flair for the dramatic.

CBC was there. I almost ended up being on two news stations in the same day for different reasons, neither of them illegal. Quite a feat for someone who isn’t a celebrity.

And I went in disguise as a bearded man. There were other “Sask” people there too including “SaskRyan” and “SaskJacqui”. We tried to convert others to join us like the future “SaskMike”.

I’m now going to have to find and watch What’s Up Tiger Lily, as it sounds to be an original version of Bad Lip Reading.
