Joe Oliver Is Trash Like the Financial Post

Canada has had some bad Ministers of Finance, but can you think of a stinkier one than Oliver in his time since being tossed? Just yesterday the odious Financial Post published a factually incorrect account of climate change, for the benefit of fossil fuel companies which Oliver serves.

The climate alarmists are keeping poor people in the dark — literally
It is impossible to elevate people in dire need to a decent standard of living without inexpensive electricity

However, failed predictions about […] islands sinking into the sea and extreme weather events have seriously undermined their scare tactics and moral preening. The evidence simply does not substantiate the apocalyptic prophesies.

Islands don’t sink into the sea, that’s not the prediction, Joe. It’s rising sea levels. It may look as the same disastrous result, but science has never said that islands will literally sink as a result of climate change.

Also, about that supposed lack of climate disasters, how many years ago was it that downtown Calgary, and also downtown Toronto flooded?

Now Oliver has a new role to spread his ignorance or his fossil-malice. He’s an independent energy board crony of the Ford government. I’m sure they’ll find his skills as an island-sinker very handy.
