I’ve decided to finally post it to get it off my unfinished drafts list**

Vintage Voter – amusing photos from the politicians’ pasts.

Non endorsement

The Glop and Pail made a lot of people who care about democracy, very mad. They go over many reasons why it’s irresponsible to vote for Conservatives, and then go ahead and endorse Harper anyway because they are scared of Layton and Ignateiff, and don’t even consider May. I thought I was reading a political parody, something by The Daily Show, or The Onion or 22 Minutes. The perspective is so Conservative, that Harper can be forgiven for his crimes against democracy, while they should be deal breakers for those with journalistic integrity. And speaking of deal breakers for voting Conservatives, you’d think Trost, Vellacot, Lukiwski and so many other MPs would be enough to scare anyone who is homosexual away from voting for that party.

Iggy?

Do you think the Pirate Party would have appreciated WikiLeak’s assistance a month ago?

Americans don’t buy the “tough on crime” line.

Revolution

Is the polling a sign that the Conservative’s propaganda about coalitions is starting to wear a little too thin to hold?

The media plays an important role in informing Canada’s citizens. There are forces both within it, and behind it, that have malicious motives to taint the minds of Canadians rather than inform them. Last election CTV took a lot of criticism for pending Conservative hack Senator Duffy’s treatment of Dion. This time SunTV is already proving it’s not here to inform, but to spread propaganda like Layton’s massage.

These conditions are now being used as a pretext to exclude Carla Marinucci from the ‘print pool’ for further events in the Bay Area. This is a clear demonstration of how authorities exert control over the media through the use of soft power – under the threat of removal of access and privileges when journalists start doing journalism.

And people are losing respect for the media, when they are supposed to be serving us, not the corporations and the politicians!

White Privilege, and amusing comments showing that sometimes allies are turned against for being imperfect.
