RoboCon: Where’s Waldo? Who’s Poutine?

Canada’s short-lived version of Where’s Waldo, is now closing one chapter in the morning, to open a new phase of the search. Will Pierre Poutine finger their co-conspirators, and spill the curds about the whole electoral fraud scheme? I’m guessing that is unlikely to happen, so it will be up to police to follow the leads to find out the answers to the following questions:

  • How did Poutine obtain phone numbers for specific people who met the vote suppression criteria set by the illegal robocall conspiracy?
  • Where did the thousands of dollars come from to pay the robocall and live-call phone centres? Why was it alleged that some live-call centres had “your poll has moved” scripts? Will those people, if they did not come forward yet, face Elections Act violation charges too for their part in the crime?
  • When it’s revealed a party’s database was the one used in the crime, who will the guilty party face discipline from? Who at the party will take the fall, and why shouldn’t it be the entire party if senior figures are implicated? Will it be left to voters to punish those who allowed this to happen, or will there be jail time, and party de-registration to prevent these people from running for office again?
  • Why did Peter McKay imply that Michael Sona was the guilty [impossibly singular] person more than a week ago, and then Sona said it was not him? What did Peter know specifically about the Conservative Party’s own investigation into who Poutine was, and will they make this information available to the RCMP in the interest of accountability? Why was that not shared with police weeks ago if they thought they knew? If it was shared, why did the police not make an arrest at that time?

Ralph Goodale with Saskboy at RoboGate RoboCon Regina Rally
I explained to Ralph Goodale how the RCMP could catch Pierre Poutine by tracking who connected to RackNine to upload phone numbers, or by examining the database suspected to be the source of those phone numbers… CIMS, the Conservatives’ voter information DB. The second method is obviously more interesting now, as it would potentially reveal who others are in this vile conspiracy to undermine fair elections in Canada.

Goodale recognized me when I mentioned I was Saskboy. He called me… “prolific”. That’s a nice way to say I write too much ;-)

Matt had my idea too. Computer Scientists will crack this case wide open, I tell ya’:
Cookies did Poutine in. It figures a technology named after a food should be the downfall of a criminal named for a food.

Early last Tuesday morning – as in 2:45 AM early – Meier sent me [Paula] this message: ”I think I know who Pierre Poutine is!!! I’ve been scouring all servers for logs and I’m pretty sure he messed-up hiding himself.” […]
[Matt] realized that the person who’d uploaded the fake calls had used a phony IP address. But when that user signed off, Meier told me, he left behind a tell-tale “cookie”, which left a trail of what you might call digital cookie crumbs, that led, in turn, to the real IP address.

Meier turned the server data over to Elections Canada -on his own initiative.

It’s like Christmas Eve; I have to know who Poutine is, now! Can I just open one present now? Well, this isn’t bad for a little hard evidence of the Conservatives lying about their American phone centres’ involvement in their campaign. And you can also “Cross the RoboCon“. Front Porch Strategies and the Harper Conservatives appear to be saying things other than what their website and Facebook photos say. I wonder why…

You have to read The Galloping Beaver if you want to stay ahead of the national media for breaking political scandals. The Ottawa Citizen has been on the ball though, here are more details about the illegal Poutine robocalls, and the Guelph Liberal robocalls that forgot to identify they were Liberal sponsored.

The Galloping Beaver knows where to send you for more information too. The Gazeeter is a good place to wrap up this post, as a sort of primer into the next phase as we get specific about phone calls and phone callers.

  1. We may never know, but it would be interesting to know if Pierre P. has spoken to others before s/he turns him/herself in, and if so whom, why, and what were the outcomes of such (if any) of those conversations.

  2. “Harper’s agenda is disastrous for this country and for my generation,” (Senate Page Bridgette) DePape wrote. “This country needs a Canadian version of an Arab spring, a flowering of popular movements that demonstrate that real power to change things lies not with Harper but in the hands of the people, when we act together in our streets, neighborhoods and workplaces,”

Arab Spring for Canada??????? Careful what you wish for Briggie!!

“It’s a sea change from the ousted regime of President Hosni Mubarak, when women were guaranteed 64 parliamentary seats. In the latest post-revolutionary elections, the quota was eliminated and women won only five seats. “The other seats went to the Muslim Brotherhood and Salafists,” said El Soud, co-founder of the Revolutionary Women’s Coalition, which has 4,000 members on Facebook.”

Looks like women are out-o-luck this Spring!!!!!

  3. saskboy, just a thank you for linking to my blog and sending a few readers my way. As do You, I think that this is a turning point in the Fight to beat the Cheat. I have recently followed you on Twitter. and I really like what you do there.

Sadly, the day (Monday, March 12, 2012) is done and we seem to be no closer to knowing the true identity, of Pierre Poutine. I guess that means another day of cons and other dullards believing that with a name like that, he must be a french-Canadian, Lol! Maybe tomorrow, we will get that real name.
