Prime Minister Furious At Himself

Canada’s bonehead Prime Minister, in an effort to look more like Boris Johnson, has turned up in an old photo sporting a culturally inappropriate turban costume while wearing what is now, finally widely recognized as racist, blackface makeup.

This latest photo is not to be confused with the one manufactured by the Conservative Party to characterize the PM as a brown person shutting down oil production in Alberta.

The Right Honourable guy has a tattoo of First Nations imagery on his shoulder, I’m pretty sure he must have a whole closest stuffed full of inappropriate cultural appropriation. If Canadians come to their senses before polling day, they can elect a PM who wears a turban appropriately, or one who stands shoulder to shoulder with First Nations people as they’re arrested for defending unceded territory from invading oil companies.

Conservatives Exceeding Election Spending Expectations

What’s that mean? You’ve heard the Con Premiers like Ford and Moe and Kenney are all threatening Trudeau, saying if he doesn’t do impossible things for the oil industry (because it’s rightfully dying), he’s threatening national unity because the Con Premiers will try to break away from Canada to have their own Petrostate?

It’s all part of the Conservative Party of Canada’s effort to exceed election spending limits. Kenney in Alberta is throwing $30,000,000 away on an “energy war” room to target environmentalists and other sane people who care about our planet. Basically it’s a way to funnel more money to crackpot media like Rebel, and climate change denial media like POStmedia. Their theory seems to be that if they can spend provincially, as a government, their ads indirectly supporting Scheer will translate into votes for him without running up the finite election spending limit federal parties face.

Elizabeth May in Saskatchewan

It’s been another amazing day, and the Sun isn’t even down yet.
Attended a lunch-and-learn this morning with @ElizabethMay at the new CAC #UofR building.

Then we got a tour of Cowessess’s Renewable Energy facility a few kilometers past their gas station east of Regina on Arcola Ave.

Now May has left for Fort Qu’Appelle for a forum on climate change. It’s in Scheer’s home riding, but he declined to attend! (The coward…)
The official video of the event had sound issues. Here are some clips:

Scheer Shouldn’t Shrug Off Toxic Rebel Association

This was in response to me, and countless others calling for him to denounce the hate site for its involvement in the Charlottesville Nazi attack.

Meanwhile one of the more ‘mainstream’ defenders and purveyors of Islamophobia writes this:

confront the intolerant and authoritarian forces of political Islam.

While the ISIS caliphate in Mosul is falling, a more domesticated form of Islamism is tragically taking root in countries like Turkey, Indonesia and even regions of the Philippines.

When glimmers of this agenda crop up in Europe and North America, politicians and the chattering classes do everything to accommodate its bigotry and little to denounce it.

If there’s a void, they’ll move to fill it.

Listen to him, using a Nazi rally and subsequent attack that killed and injured people, as an opportunity to make people more scared of Muslims. I guess he knows a thing or two about filling a void.

Speaking of voids, here’s a website to avoid:
