This is how I see the economic system of the world operating, and it’s the basis for many of my feelings about the economy in Canada and in Saskatchewan. I wonder how many authors see their interviews like a politician’s stump speech with talking points and such. I had to stop watching the real interview because it was so clearly rehearsed. I want to watch a conversation with someone who knows their material well enough to talk off the cuff.
To his benefit most people won’t know how canned he is. A shame really. He has some good general points even if it sounds a little ‘truther’ for my tastes.
It was rehearsed, which is why I noted that the better part is near the end once the first video is watched. I wonder if they based the first video on this interview, or if he’s really just that practiced. I think most good speakers get to be that way from rehearsal, however.
Capitalism is not really an economic system at all. It’s a way of producing wealth and power. That wealth and power has to be overseen, modulated, regulated, stretched, and trimmed before it’s safe for humans to live around. It’s like gasoline or steam. They produce a lot of power when kept under rigid control, but they can kill you if they just let rip uncontrolled.
